Interjection in Biru novel by Fira Basuki



ABSTRACT

         Interjection is a word that expresses a sense of duty speaker's heart. Thus the author's efforts in enriching interjection convey emotions that can not be simply described through a variety of other words but in fact it is quite conveyed in one word the interjection.
         The study, entitled interjection in the novel Biru Fira Basuki's work aims to identify the forms of interjection used in the novel Biru Fira Basuki's work and analyze the intended use of the forms of interjection used in the novel Biru Fira Basuki's work. 
       This type of research is descriptive research. The approach used in this study is a sociolinguistic approach. 
         Data collection methods used in this study is the method batat. Instruments used in this study were human (human instrument). This research includes the study of literature. Therefore, the techniques of data analysis used is qualitative research is descriptive, which combines descriptive and qualitative methods. 
       Based on analysis result it can be concluded that (1). Type of interjection used in Fira Basuki's novel Biru is 14 kinds of species invitation, surprise, astonishment, admiration, resentment, disgust, separation / meetings, pleasure, cursing, sadness, sure, silent, relief, and rejection. (2) This novel use of the interjection Biru Fira Basuki's work is that there are two things: First, in particular is providing a wealth of submission intention and expression are delivered or spoken by the characters in the novel. Second, the general is to relieve boredom and give rise to evoke a sense of freshness and curiosity to continue to follow the plot.
